Who is Amy Shrader and What Makes Her Different?
Hi! I am Amy Shrader, native of Morristown, Tennessee. I became a licensed real estate agent in May 2012. That makes me a relatively new agent. But I am not new to the real estate industry.
Prior to becoming an agent, I had over 11 years experience in real estate, as both a mortgage loan originator and a title agent. This background differentiates me from most other agents, because I do see and understand all facets of the transaction. I have taken loan applications for first-time home buyers and know their fears and frustrations. I have gone over closing documents with seasoned investors who just wanted the highlights explained. This experience makes me a better agent to YOU, whether you are buying that first home or looking for your retirement home.
I was born and raised in Morristown. I graduated from Morristown Hamblen High School West in 1987 and went to Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee. I graduated from CNC in December of 1991 with a Bachelors of Science in both Business Management and Computer Information Systems.
I have always been sort of a geek. I took a lot of teasing in school, and now, even as an adult, I get ribbed about being the “smart one”. Most people like to garden, do crafts, exercise, whatever in their spare time. I enjoy building websites. It’s a quirk but I find it relaxing, much like working a puzzle.
My guilty pleasure is football. Whether it’s college or professional, I truly enjoy watching every game. Of course, my favorite college team would be the Tennessee Volunteers. I wear my Orange with pride! In the NFL, I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. I have pulled for them since I was 6 or 7 years old. I actually got to see them play in 1982 against the New England Patriots in an exhibition game at Neyland Stadium. The game was played in Knoxville due to the World’s Fair being here that year.
I have helped people finance their home, close on their home, and now I look forward to helping people find or sell their home.
I hope you find my site helpful and informative. If you are considering selling your home, be sure to check out my marketing plan and see how I utilize the power of the internet to get your home SOLD! I am available to answer questions you have, not just concerning real estate or specific properties, but relating to East Tennessee in general. You may come for a visit but you’ll stay for a lifetime.
